Terriers’ Park commits to NAIT

The Portage Terriers are pleased to announce Nathan Park (1995) will be attending NAIT – Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, and playing hockey for the Ooks for the 2016-17 season. NAIT competes in the ACAC and is located in Edmonton, Alberta.

Park was the starting goaltender for the Terriers last season playing in 46 games with 38 wins and a .922 SV% and goals against average of 1.92. Park was named Top Goaltender of the MJHL as well as being a finalist for CJHL Goalie of the Year.

Park reflects on his time in Portage. “It’s always good to be part of a winning organization with good players around you that makes you develop and play better to get to that next level. We had a great group of guys in Portage that made the year a lot of fun. NAIT is also an organization with a winning history. They have a really good staff and some good players I have played with and against in the past. Hopefully we can be part of a third straight league title.”

The Terriers Organization would like to wish Nathan the best of luck in the next step of his hockey career.
