WINNIPEG, MB – For the first time in Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) history, the Dauphin Kings and Northern Manitoba Blizzard will meet in the McMunn & Yates Turnbull Cup Final.
It all begins on Friday night in Dauphin for game one at Credit Union Place when the Kings host the Blizzard before the series shifts back up north to The Pas for game two on Sunday night at the Roy H. Johnston.

To get to this point, the Dauphin Kings downed the Waywayseecappo Wolverines in five games before finishing off the Portage Terriers in game six. For the Northern Manitoba Blizzard, they also won their first round matchup in five games against the Neepawa Titans before sweeping the defending champion, Winkler Flyers in the second round.
This will be the Kings 6th appearance in the Turnbull Cup Final over the last 25 seasons, having won in 2010 and more recently in 2022. For the Blizzard, this will be the organizations 7th appearance in the Final over the quarter century mark, having not won the league championship since the 2003 season when they completed their 5th consecutive championship (1999-2003).
In the 2024-25 regular season, these two opponents traded blows and tied the season series 3-3.
The MJHL Champion will advance to the National Junior A Championship in Calgary, Alberta, where they will have a chance to hoist the Centennial Cup.
