CALGARY, Alta. – Rolling along with perfect 9-0-0-0 start to their season, the Trenton Golden Hawks (OJHL) remain atop the table in the latest Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) Top 20 Rankings, released Monday.
Trenton presently paces the Ontario Junior Hockey League in goals scored with 55 heading into Day 1 of the OJHL’s Governor’s Showcase in Cobourg, Ont.
Moving up to No. 2 nationally are the Brooks Bandits (AJHL).
Brooks has reeled off a dozen consecutive victories in Alberta and sport an AJHL-best mark of 13-1-0-0 to date.
Sitting No. 3 in the weekly rankings, which are compiled by an independent scouting service, is the Ottawa Jr. A Senators (CCHL).
They are 9-1-0-0 to begin play in the Central Canada Hockey League as they sit in first place overall in that 12-team loop.
Holding at No. 4 is the Timmins Rock (NOJHL).
Despite suffering the initial defeat in regulation time Sunday, Timmins still boasts the best winning percentage in northern Ontario at .875 with their 10-1-1-0 mark.
You then have the Steinbach Pistons (MJHL) rounding out the Top 5 in the CJHL this week.
The Pistons are an impressive 11-1-0-0 in Manitoba and currently lead the way in the 12-team MJHL.
