Virden Oil Capitals’ McVeigh named Recycle Everywhere MJHL Player of the Week

 

Off to an outstanding start in the playoffs, Virden Oil Capitals’ goaltender Riley McVeigh has been named the Recycle Everywhere MJHL Player of the Week.

McVeigh, 19, was undefeated last week with a perfect 3-0 record as he helped the Oil Capitals advance to the next round of the MJHL playoffs. The native of Calgary was stellar reflected in a .954 save percentage, 1.33 GAA and one shutout.

The runners up are 20 year old defenceman Mitch Dyck of the Winkler Flyers and 20 year old defenceman Mark Taraschuk of the Steinbach Pistons.
