1st – Portage Terriers (-)

More of the same for the Terriers. Keep piling up wins, especially against teams lower than them in the standings. The only frustrating part is teams above and around them keep winning, too.

Playing their best, most consistent hockey of the season. Their success coupled with a team ahead of them stumbling, has them poised to jump into a playoff spot. Very tough schedule ahead.

6th – Northern Manitoba Blizzard (-)

Back-to-back shutouts will have the group feeling very confident. Perfect timing, too with the hottest team in the MJHL knocking on their door for two straight must-watch contests.
Key Player: Alex Reedy – 2-0 record, 39 saves on 39 shots, 2 shutouts
Up Next: Nov 15th vs Portage, Nov. 16th vs Portage, Nov. 19th vs Neepawa

7th – Selkirk Steelers (-)
Last week: 0-1
Overall: 12-6-0-1
Stumbling back down the standings after three straight regulation losses. Goals have been tough to come by of late. Built up enough early on to survive hard stretches. Winnable games coming up.
Key Player: Ty Easton – 1 assist in 1 game
Up Next: Nov. 13th @ Waywayseecappo, Nov. 15th vs Waywayseecappo, Nov. 19th vs Virden

8th – Neepawa Titans (-)
Last week: 0-1
Overall: 9-8-1-1
Trying to find their way while still holding their own in the standings. Not a bad place to be knowing their ceiling is higher as a team. Busy upcoming week needing to bank a few points.
Key Player: Dawson McCann – 1 goal in 1 game
Up Next: Nov. 15th @ Dauphin, Nov. 16th vs Niverville, Nov. 19th @ Northern Manitoba, Nov. 20th @ Swan Valley

9th – Winnipeg Blues (+4)
Last week: 1-2
Overall: 3-14-1-1
Getting a win, even against their in-city cousin, is a positive. Getting blown out 12-1 over two games is a negative. So goes another tough stretch for the young group.
Key Player: Shawn Eliav – 3 assists in 3 games
Up Next: Nov. 13th @ Portage, Nov. 19th vs Steinbach

10th – Virden Oil Capitals (-1)
Last week: 0-2
Overall: 7-12
Goals have been hard to come by to start the month. Shutout twice in four games and only scoring more than 3 once in 8 games. Feeling a bit of pressure with teams ahead pulling away.
Key Player: Brett Sabel – 1 goal in 2 games
Up Next: Nov. 15th vs Swan Valley, Nov. 16th vs WPG Freeze, Nov. 19th @ Selkirk

11th – Swan Valley Stampeders (-1)
Last week: 0-1
Overall: 2-13-2-1
New players brought in and a new voice behind the bench provided a spark, the team just couldn’t find a way to get over that hump. Young players getting a bigger role and show no quit is a positive.
Key Player: Riley Fequet – 1 goal, 1 assist in 2 games
Up Next: Nov. 13th vs Dauphin, Nov. 15th @ Virden, Nov. 16th @ Dauphin, Nov. 20th vs Neepawa

12th – Waywayseecappo Wolverines (-1)
Last week: 0-2
Overall: 5-10
Never short on effort. A hard-working group that can be dangerous up and down the lineup just can’t seem to buy a goal at times. Still in a good spot to climb into the top 4 considering games in hand.
Key Player: Cole Hunter – 1 goal in 2 games
Up Next: Nov. 13th vs Selkirk, Nov. 15th @ Selkirk, Nov. 16th @ Steinbach, Nov. 19th vs Winkler

13th – Winnipeg Freeze (-1)

Overall: 1-12-1-2
Another stretch of games where the same issues persist. Can hang around and keep opponents honest, but eventually the score gets away from them and looks worse than it probably is.
Key Player: Ben Whitford – 1 goal, 1 assist in 2 games
Up Next: Nov. 15th @ Steinbach, Nov. 16th @ Virden
