WHL Prospects feature: Lewko, Hill & Picklyk

In the coming weeks, mjhlhockey.ca will feature several Western Hockey League (WHL) prospects who are succeeding in the MJHL, along with a number of MJHL alumni who are thriving in the WHL, NCAA and USPORTS levels.

This week, the WHL takes the spotlight as we take a look at the first three prospects: Cohen Lewko, Trevor Hill, and William Picklyk.

Cohen Lewko | Virden Oil Capitals

WHL Draft: 2024, 4th Round #77 Overall | Saskatoon Blades

After his 2024-25 season playing for RHA Winnipeg U18, Lewko joined the Oil Capitals and has been a solid contributor in the lineup as a 16-year-old this season. Trevor Hill | Portage Terriers
17-Years-Old
2025-26: 33GP | 26G | 19A | 45PTS
WHL Draft: 2023, 2nd Round #38 Overall US Prospect Draft | Moose Jaw Warriors

Hill joined the Terriers this season from the Black Bear Academy 16U AAA program and has lit the league on fire with his goal scoring ability. Heading into the back half of January, the San Antonio, Texas, native has scored the most goals (26) in the MJHL this season and sits fifth overall in league scoring with 45 points. William Picklyk | Steinbach Pistons
16-Years-Old

WHL Draft: 2024, 5th Round #90 Overall | Everett Silvertips

Picklyk came into the Pistons lineup this season and has done a great job of adjusting to life in junior hockey after joining the club from the Pilot Mound Academy U18 program. The Mitchell, Manitoba, product uses his size and shot to his advantage and isn’t afraid to standup for himself or his teammates. Photo Credit: Kalee Haasbeek
