CALGARY, Alta. – The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced Thursday that the trio of Will Hambley, (G) Steinbach Pistons (MJHL); Maxime Gagné, (RW) Collège-Français de Longueuil (LHJAAAQ) and Christian Cicigoi, (G) Haliburton County Huskies (OJHL) have been named its Gongshow Gear 3 Stars of the Month for December.

1ST STAR: WILL HAMBLEY, (G) STEINBACH PISTONS (MJHL) – A stellar December saw the 19-year-old netminder from Cole Harbour, N.S., collect victories in each of his five starts for Steinbach while sporting a stingy 1.40 goals-against average as well as an equally-solid .958 save percentage.

He also registered a pair of shutouts and had a run of 166 minutes and 26 seconds, extending into 2022, without giving up a goal.

Hambley, who has won all of his past 13 appearances for the Pistons, tops all MJHL goaltenders in average at 1.93.

His .932 save percentage also paces his league and he shares the MJHL-lead in shutouts with four.
