WINNIPEG, MB – The Waywayseecappo Wolverines took a 2-0 series lead over the Dauphin Kings while the Steinbach Pistons doubled up the Portage Terriers to tie their series at 1-1 on night three of the McMunn & Yates Turnbull Cup Playoffs.

Jase Wareham made 24 saves while the Waywayseecappo Wolverines earned goals from four different skaters on their way to a 4-1 win over the Dauphin Kings in game two on Sunday night.
After Dylan Duzan and Ethan Stewart exchanged goals in the first, Jase Wareham shut the door the rest of the way with the Wolverines scoring three unanswered from Treycen Wuttunee, Sebastien Hicks, and Kurt Rookes.

It was another spirited affair between these two rivals as both teams would get their chances on the man-advantage, each going 1 for 6. These two clubs will meet for game three on Tuesday night in Dauphin at Credit Union Place.
Pistons 4 Terriers 2 | Best-of-seven series tied 1-1
Jackson Kostiuk scored twice while Chris Quizi was solid in stopping 37 of 39 shots on the way to helping the Steinbach Pistons to a 4-2 win in game two.
It was the Terriers who got off to a quick start when rookie forward, Drayden Uhrina took a pass from Rhett Platt and ripped it to the back of the net to give Portage a 1-0 lead just 35 seconds in. Each team would go 0 for 2 on the man-advantage in the first.

Just passed the midway mark of the 2nd, Steinbach would rattle off three goals in three minutes from Liam Doyle, Jack Greenwell, and Jackson Kostiuk. After Kostiuk scored his second of the game in the 3rd, Portage would pull their goaltender with over six minutes remaining and Adam Belzil would scored to cut the lead in half.

Steinbach would hold strong with Quizi making a number of saves to keep the two-goal lead intact as they would skate to victory in game two. It will be just one day off before the series shifts back to Steinbach for game three on Tuesday night at the Southeast Event Centre.
