Steinbach Pistons captain, Zac Patrick has committed to play USPORTS hockey at the University of Manitoba this fall.
After 96 games in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with Kootenay, Patrick briefly joined the Portage Terriers (2019-20) before being acquired by the Pistons just prior to the start of the 2020-21 season.
The 6-foot, 190-pound defender from Winnipeg, MB spent his first full season in a Pistons uniform in 2021-22 where he recorded 9 goals and 26 assists in 46 games. Patrick helped lead his Pistons to an appearance in the MJHL Championship series, posting 1 goal and 11 assists in 14 postseason games.
The University of Manitoba Bisons play at the USPORTS level out of Winnipeg, Manitoba, in the Canada West Universities Athletic Association.
Patrick joins fellow 2021-22 MJHL graduate, Jackson Arpin, who recently committed to the U of M Bisons recruiting class.
