Dauphin Kings Head Coach & General Manager, Doug Hedley earned his 500th MJHL coaching win on Friday night when his Kings downed the Wolverines, 5-3 on home ice.
Hedley has coached the Kings during three different stints in the MJHL, including from 1989-90, 2003-07 and 2018-present. He helped guide the Kings to a Turnbull Cup championship during the 2021-22 season, his first in the MJHL and is also a two-time MJHL Coach of the Year recipient (2008-09 & 2021-22).
He earned coaching wins in the MJHL with the OCN Blizzard during two different stints in the north from 2007-09 and 2016-2018.
Hedley joins Doug Stokes, Don MacGillivray, Blake Spiller and Ken Pearson in the 500 MJHL win club. Congratulations to Doug on this outstanding milestone.
