Zimmer was an Oil Capital for one year. during his time there he played a total of 27 games, scoring a total of 16 goals and assisting 15.
“I choose York because they have a great program there and they showed a lot of interest in me.” Zimmer stated “I’m taking the first year of university in the fall and then i’ll decide where I want to go from there.”
“We are very happy for Rylee and his decision to commit to York University.” said Oil Caps head coach and GM Troy Leslie. “we wish him future success and would like to thank him for his contributions to the Virden Oil Capitals. he played a huge role in the success we had this season.
“I loved my time in Virden, obviously, we were a very competitive team with a great group of guys and coaching staff.” Zimmer said “the town was always behind us and I have no bad things to say about the Virden organization. I loved it!”
