Keck, Wareham & Wilson named MJHL scholarship recipients

WINNIPEG, MB – Justin Keck (Swan Valley Stampeders), Owen Wareham (Dauphin Kings) and Brody Wilson (Virden Oil Capitals) have been named this year’s recipients of the MJHL Scholarship Award.

The Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) is proud of its scholarship fund that exists to further the academic and hockey development of qualified players. This year’s scholarship awards mark the thirteenth year of the MJHL scholarship fund.

Justin Keck will receive funding that will go towards his schooling this fall at Briercrest College (ACAC). Keck spent 90 games in a Stamps’ uniform where he scored 39 goals and 42 assists.

Owen Wareham will receive funding that will go towards his schooling this fall at The University of Manitoba (USPORTS). Wareham suited up in three seasons for the Kings where he was named a First Team MJHL All-Star in 2022-23 and was an MJHL Champion in 2021-22.

Brody Wilson will receive funding that will towards his schooling this fall at Assiniboine Community College. Wilson spent parts of two seasons in Virden where he was team captain in 2022-23, helping the Oil Capitals reach the MJHL Final.
