DAUPHIN, MB – The Dauphin Kings are pleased to announce that forward Wilson Northey has committed to University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point (NCAA DIV III) for the upcoming 2018-19 hockey season.
Northey is currently one of two twenty year olds on the Kings. He’s one of the hardest workers on the club and is leaned upon when it comes to leadership both on and off the ice.
“I’m really excited to join such a tremendous club that has a culture of winning. They’re known for sending seniors to the next level and that’s something I was looking for. When my dad and I went to the school recently I realized it was a excellent fit for myself and an opportunity to have a great DIV III experience” says Northey.
Northey was acquired by the Kings in an off season trade with the AJHL’s Lloydminster Bobcats. So far this season the North Vancouver product has 18 points (8G, 10A) and is fourth on the club in scoring.
