MJHL Alumni Feature: Dube, LeGall & Ziprick

In the coming weeks, mjhlhockey.ca will feature several MJHL alumni who are thriving in the WHL, NCAA and USPORTS levels.

This week, the spotlight shines on MJHL Alumni in the WHL as we take a look at our next three players: Brayden Dube, Raiden LeGall, and Aiden Ziprick.

Brayden Dube | Prince Albert Raiders

NCAA Commit: Bemidji State University

The native of Roblin, Manitoba, spent his 16-year-old season in the MJHL with the Dauphin Kings and made a big impact on their run to hoisting the Turnbull Cup. Dube added 24 goals and 22 assists in 49 regular season games for the Kings before adding 3 goals and 6 assists in the postseason, which included the game winner on the road in game seven that would clinch the league title for Dauphin.

Since joining the WHL, Dube has played 233 games, boasting 73 goals and 78 assists split between his time with the Seattle Thunderbirds and Prince Albert Raiders where he has spent the majority of his time in the western league. Dube is committed to play NCAA Division 1 hockey this fall at Bemidji State University.

Raiden LeGall | Everett Silvertips
MJHL | Niverville Nighthawks (2023-25)

LeGall jumped into the MJHL with the Nighthawks and hit the ground running over a season and a half in Niverville where he played 52 games, posting a 27-21-1 record to go along with a 2.65GAA and 0.920SV% with 4 shutouts. Halfway through the 2024-25 season LeGall signed with the Silvertips and never looked back.

Through 49 WHL games in Everett, LeGall has put together a 33-5-7 record with a 2.45GAA, 0.909SV%, and 3 shutouts. Earlier this season, LeGall announced his commitment to play NCAA Division 1 hockey at Minnesota State Mankato.

Aiden Ziprick | Moose Jaw Warriors

Another MJHL alumnus who joined the WHL ranks is none other than Aiden Ziprick of Russell, Manitoba. Ziprick joined the Wolverines as a 16-year-old where he spent a season and a half, suiting up in 56 career MJHL games, adding 7 goals and 17 assists before signing with the Lethbridge Hurricanes where he finished the season playing 30 games.

Two games into the following season, Ziprick was dealt to Moose Jaw where he has spent the rest of his time in the western league, contributing to a WHL Championship in that 2023-24 season. Ziprick has played a total of 195 WHL games, adding 25 goals and 71 assists. Earlier this season, Ziprick announced his commitment to play NCAA Division 1 hockey at Bemidji State University where he will join fellow alumni, Brayden Dube.
