MJHL announces 2021 Futures Camp in Niverville

WINNIPEG, MB – The Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) is pleased to host the 2021 MJHL Futures Camp, held December 27-28 in Niverville, MB.  This event is intended to be an initial introduction to the MJHL brand and sanctioned high-performance hockey for potential U15 (2007-born) junior prospects.

“The MJHL is committed to building lasting relationships with the young talent in this province, this a great icebreaker event for players to get a taste of what high-performance camps entail,” comments Kyle Prystupa, MJHL Manager of Programming & Communications.

The camp will be professionally operated by the MJHL to provide meaningful insight and preparation for future high-performance events in our province such as; U16 Program of Excellence camps, MJHL U16 Draft Prospect Camp, MJHL U17 Draft Combine and more.  This event will also see MJHL and Western Hockey League (WHL) scouting personnel attending to evaluate the invited players.

MJHL Futures Camp includes:

  • 1 Hybrid skills competition & combine testing session (skaters)
  • 1 Goalie Mentorship session (goalies)
  • 3 Exhibition games
  • Enhanced high-performance exposure
  • Lunch provided daily for athletes
  • MJHL camp jersey & socks
  • MJHL apparel item

Invited players were identified through preliminary recommendations from local MJHL and WHL scouting network.  Keep posted as full camp schedule and assigned rosters will be announced in December as all plans become solidified.
