RBC PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Mathieu Moreira (’03) Selkirk Steelers

The MJHL veteran helped the Steelers earn a 5-2 record in the month of December which included wins against Dauphin, Niverville and Portage. Moreira recorded five multi-point outings, scored two game winners and was held off the scoresheet just once during those seven games. The native of Winnipeg, MB, leads the Steelers in scoring with 11 goals and 16 assists through 30 games played.

SAFE WORK MANITOBA DEFENSEMAN OF THE MONTH
Sebastian Hamming (’03) OCN Blizzard

After opening the month of December with a loss, Sebastian Hamming and the Blizzard rattled off seven wins in a row to enter the second half of the regular season as the hottest team in the league. Hamming added points in six of eight games, including three multi-point outings and sits 4th in scoring amongst all defenders in the MJ with 2 goals and 22 assists in 32 games.

ORIGINAL 16 GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH
Raiden LeGall (’06) Niverville Nighthawks

The strong, consistent play from Bemidji State University commit, Raiden LeGall continued in the month of December. Earning wins in 4 of 4 starts during the month, LeGall stopped 146 of 152 shots including extra time wins over divisional rivals in the Pistons, Flyers and Terriers. LeGall sits in the top ten of all major goaltending stat categories including 4th in goals against average (2.03), 1st in save percentage (.941), 6th in wins (12), 9th in minutes played (1092), and 5th in saves (647).

CHEVROLET ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
Marlen Edwards (’06) OCN Blizzard

Capping off the first half of the season as one of the top scoring 2006-born players in the league, Marlen Edwards was a key contributor to the Blizzard’s seven-game win streak during the month of December. In between scoring key goals in wins over Virden and Winkler, Edwards scored 1 goal and 2 assists in a win against the Freeze. Edwards now sits with 7 goals and 14 assists in 31 games.

MANITOBA PORK PEAK PERFOMER
Sean Williams (’04) Waywayseecappo Wolverines

Earning at least one point in all 7 games played in December, Williams was a force for the Wolverines who have struggled to put together consistent play. Williams registered five multi-point games including a hat-trick performance in high-scoring win over the Freeze. Williams is tied for 1st in team scoring on the Wolverines with 17 goals and 14 assists in 32 games and ranks 10th in the league.
