RBC PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Connor Paronuzzi (’05) Steinbach Pistons

The MJHL’s leader in points (46) put together a big month for the MGEU East Division leading Pistons. Paronuzzi recorded points in each game during December, which included one 5-point performance, two 3-point outings, and three 2-point games. In 20 less games this season, Paronuzzi has already eclipsed last season’s point total by 4.

SAFE WORK MANITOBA DEFENSEMAN OF THE MONTH
Naaman Hofer (’04) Dauphin Kings

Fresh off his NCAA D1 commitment to Alaska-Anchorage, Naaman Hofer paced all defensemen in the month of December and leads the league in points (36) among defenders. Hofer recorded a pair of 3-assist outings against two MGEU West Division rivals and is the only defensemen in the MJHL who sits in the top 10 in points.

ORIGINAL 16 GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH
Liam Ernst (’05) Winkler Flyers

A near perfect month for Liam Ernst who continues to impress in the Flyers crease. The second-year puck stopper earned shutouts in 3 straight games and stopped 89 of 91 total shots. Ernst leads the MJHL in goals against average (1.56), save percentage (0.941), and shutouts (6). Ernst and the Flyers enter 2025 just four points back of the MJHL leading Pistons with two games in hand on their rivals.

CHEVROLET ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
Taye Timmerman (’07) Northern Manitoba Blizzard

The youngest goaltender in the MJHL continues to rise up the ranks after a strong month of December that saw the rookie go 6-1. Timmerman stopped 205 of 217 shots during the month and now sits fourth in goals against average (2.41), sixth in save percentage (0.919), and sixth in wins (12). The Blizzard sit tied for 1st in the MGEU West Division with the Kings holding five games in hand Heading into 2025.

MANITOBA PORK PEAK PERFOMER
Miguel Bouvier (’04) Northern Manitoba Blizzard

Another big month for Miguel Bouvier earns him Peak Performer recognition as the veteran forward from the Blizzard enters 2025 sitting second in points (42) among all skaters in the MJHL. Bouvier posted four, 2-point outings along with a 3-point performance in a win over their MGEU West Division rival Oil Capitals.
