RBC PLAYER OF THE MONTH
Rohan Guevarra (’07) Selkirk Steelers

The Alaska-Anchorage D1 commit has been on fire to start the 2025-26 season, leading the league points (18), assists (13), and points-per-game average (3). Guevarra and the Steelers continue to rack up the wins, taking 6 straight to open the season as he continues his torrid scoring pace into October.

SAFE WORK MANITOBA DEFENSEMAN OF THE MONTH
Zhenya Miles (’06) Steinbach Pistons

He’s been a big, strong presence on the backend for the Pistons to kick off his second season in the MJHL. Miles was a consistent contributor in every situation for the Pistons in September and will continue to carry play into October for Steinbach.

MCMUNN & YATES GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH
Ryan Velan (’05) Portage Terriers

Ryan Velan turned in a trio of strong performances and went undefeated in September to open the season for the Terriers. The veteran goaltender stopped 90 of 93 shots in his three outings, including an impressive 38-save shutout against the Pistons. Velan exits the month of September on top of every major goaltending category.

CHEVROLET ROOKIE OF THE MONTH
Isaac Sousa (’09) Selkirk Steelers

What an impressive start to the season it’s been for 16-year-old Isaac Sousa, who has stepped in as an immediate contributor in all facets of the game with the undefeated Steelers. Sousa enters the month of October, fourth in MJHL scoring while leading all rookies.

MANITOBA PORK PEAK PERFOMER
Brody Green (’07) Steinbach Pistons

Posting multi-point performances in four of five games in September has the Northern Michigan D1 commit leading the Pistons in scoring out of the gate. Green has helped the Pistons stay undefeated in regulation entering October as the fight at the top of the MGEU East Division has already begun.
