The Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) and the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL) are proud to present the 3rd Annual MJHL/SJHL Showcase.
The Showcase returns January 21-22, 2020, welcoming sixty (60) players from each league. Games will be played at the Co-operators Centre in Regina, SK.
A total of three (3) teams from each league will be formed, consisting of twenty (20) players each. One team will consist of players under the age of 18, while the other two will consist of players under 20. All teams are selected by the coaches in their respective leagues.
Kim Davis, the Commissioner of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League stated, “The MJHL is excited to continue our partnership with the SJHL to put on this amazing event. This event gives our players a chance to showcase their skills and abilities for scouts from all higher levels of hockey. We hope to build on the success from the previous two years and create a better Showcase this year.”
President of the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League Bill Chow, would like to recognize the MJHL/SJHL Showcase sponsors. “With the support from our sponsors, these players are able to showcase their talents in front of NHL, WHL, U SPORTS and NCAA scouts.”
Showcase coaching staff announcements for the MJHL teams will be made later in November followed by player rosters finalized in January. The event will also provide a preliminary platform for MJHL staff, coaches and players to establish high performance team preparations for the upcoming 2020 Junior Club World Cup in Sochi, Russia.
