Week 3, September 28 – October 4, 2026  |  The Manitoba Junior Hockey League Stars of the Week are proudly presented by Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries.

Matthew O’Sullivan (FWD/’06) – Northern Manitoba Blizzard – 4GP | 6G | 4A | 10PTS

O’Sullivan helped the Blizzard pick up 6 of 8 points last week, scoring in all four contests while posting three multi-point games which included a hat-trick and an assist against the Monarchs.

Tate Barnaby (G/’09) – Dauphin Kings – 2GP | 2W | 0.00GAA | 1.000SV% | 2SO

What a week for 16-year-old goaltender, Tate Barnaby, who has not allowed a goal in 169 minutes. Barnaby came into relief against the Wolverines, turning aside all 19 shots in forty minutes of play before posting back-to-back shutouts against the Blues and Terriers to close out the week. 59 shots against and 59 saves for Barnaby last week for the Kings.

Kannen Kirkwood (G/’07) – Northern Manitoba Blizzard – 3GP | 3W | 1.00GAA | 0.968SV% | 2SO

Kirkwood put together three strong performances for the Blizzard last week, earning a pair of shutouts along the way. The second-year MJHL’er posted a 36-save shutout against the Monarchs before turning aside 34 of 37 in a win over the Steelers. In the rematch against Selkirk, Kirkwood’s 20-save shutout helped the Blizzard to their fifth win of the season.
