MINOT, ND – The Minot State Hockey team is proud to announce the commitment of defenseman Morgan Poirier from the Portage Terriers of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League.

“We are excited to bring Morgan into our roster” said Head Coach Wade Regier. “He has a knack for scoring and one heck of shot. He will bring a ton of experience to our young defensive core and will compliment one of our best recruiting classes. He also brings some added toughness, which we look forward to seeing in our lineup.”

The Beaver Hockey program has been in existence at Minot State University since 1995. The team competes independently at the ACHA division 1 level and plays its home games at the MAYSA Arena in Minot, N.D. The Beavers are coached by Wade Regier and assisted by Wyatt Waselenchuk. In its twenty-fourth year of existence, the program has been through five head coaches and has two national titles to its name.
