Neepawa adds Matt Lowry to staff

The Neepawa Natives are pleased to announce that Matt Lowry has joined their staff as an Assistant Coach. The Neepawa MB, native will join General Manager/Head Coach Ken Pearson and Assistant Coach Robby Moar on the Natives bench for 2019-20 season.

“We are very excited to be able to add Matt to our staff,” said Natives General Manager/Head Coach Ken Pearson.

“He has a very good hockey mind and will relate well with the players.” added Pearson.

Lowry started his junior career with the Natives in 2005-06 , scoring 19 goals and adding 21 assists in 60 games, before joining the Medicine Hat Tigers of the WHL in 2006-07. He would then join the Brandon Wheat Kings in 2007-08 for the next two seasons, where he was named team captain for his final year.

Lowry went on to play two seasons with the University of Manitoba Bisons, and also had a four year pro career in the ECHL, AHL and a stint in Sweden.

The Neepawa Natives Main Camp will kick off on Friday, August 30th, and will conclude with the Founders Cup Game on Sunday, September 1st at 12:00PM. A full schedule of Main Camp will be released shortly.
