Oil Caps’ Carson Buydens commits to Princeton

Virden Oil Capitals forward, Carson Buydens has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at Princeton University.

The 6-foot-1, 175-pound forward from Gladstone, MB has scored one goal and two assists through the first four games of his junior career in the MJHL.

“We are very excited that Carson has made the commitment to attend Princeton University,” shared Oil Capitals Head Coach & General Manager, Tyson Ramsey. “Carson is a very talented player and has worked extremely hard to earn this opportunity. We as an organization are proud that he has chosen to play here in Virden and develop with our group and we will do everything we can to prepare him for this next step in his hockey career. It is a great day for Carson and our organization.”

The 17-year-old joined the Oil Capitals after spending his U18 AAA career with the Central Plains Capitals program.
