Kirk Mullen (FWD/’03) – Steinbach Pistons – 2GP | 4G | 4PTS

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound forward from Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, enjoyed a strong opening weekend for the Pistons, helping his club to a 2-0 start. Mullen added a pair of goals including one on the powerplay on Friday night in the Pistons 4-3 road win over the Oil Capitals. He followed up that performance with scoring the first two goals in the Pistons 3-2 road win over the Steelers on Saturday night in Selkirk including another on the man-advantage.

Dawson Zeller (FWD/’05) – Winnipeg Blues – 2GP | 3G | 1A | 4PTS

Dawson Zeller was an impact player for the Blues over the course of opening weekend. The 6-foot-1, 182-pound forward from St. Andrews, Manitoba, scored the first goal of the MJHL season to give his Blues an early lead over the Flyers on Friday night. On Saturday night in Winnipeg against the Freeze, Zeller scored back-to-back goals in five minutes, and then would notch an assist on what would stand up to be the game winning goal.

Raiden LeGall (G/’06) – Niverville Nighthawks – 1GP | 1.00GAA | .974SV% | 1W

Rookie goaltender, Raiden LeGall of Morden, Manitoba, put on a show in his first MJHL start against the Wolverines on Saturday. LeGall stopped 38/39 shots in his debut, including a trio of sequences where he was forced to make a number of saves to help the Nighthawks pick up their second straight win to start the season.
