The strong season in the Flyers crease continued over the weekend for the Holy Cross NCAA D1 committed puck-stopper. After turning aside 21 shots to earn a shutout over the Steelers, Klassen made 21 saves on Saturday night during a Flyers win over the Titans on the road in Neepawa. In the MJHL, Klassen sits 3rd in goals against average (1.92), 6th in save percentage (.917), 4th in wins (15), 1st in shutouts (4), and 5th in minutes played (1345).

David Bielik (D/’03) – 3GP | 1G | 3A | 4PTS | 1OTW
He’s been a key piece on the back end for an Oil Capitals team who is fresh off of picking up their 10th straight win. David Bielik notched a pair of assists in a win over the Stampeders, making it his 7th multi-point outing of the season. Just a few nights later, Bielik earned his eighth multi-point performance, assisting on a tying goal in the 2nd period before he scored the overtime winner in a 5-4 triumph over Selkirk. Bielik sits 3rd on the Oil Capitals in scoring (2G – 26A) and 5th in the MJHL amongst all defenders.

Cole Plowman (G/’03) – Steinbach Pistons – 2GP | 2W | 1.00GAA | .953SV% | 1SO
The season of strong goaltending in the MJHL continued over the weekend in the Pistons crease. Cole Plowman made 23 saves in a shutout performance over the Stampeders before standing tall two nights later against their MGEU East Division rival, Nighthawks. Plowman made 18 saves in a tight 3-2 contest, helping his club to a 7th straight win. In the MJHL, Plowman sits 2nd in goals against average (1.91), 3rd in save percentage (.931), 2nd in wins (19), tied 3rd in shutouts (2), and 2nd in minutes played (1511).
