The 19-year-old from Foxwarren, MB, stopped 75/76 shots over the weekend to lead the Wolverines to a pair of wins over their MGEU West division rival, Stampeders. Wotton currently leads the MJHL in wins with 15, sits 5th in goals against average (2.59) and 6th in save percentage (.915).
Carter Cormier (FWD/’04) – Selkirk Steelers – 2G | 4G | 4A | 8PTS
Acquired earlier this season, Cormier has fit in seamlessly on the Steelers top line. In the Steelers 4-1 win over the Nighthawks, Cormier scored 2 goals and added 2 assists before he replicated his performance in Selkirk’s 10-0 win over the Freeze. Cormier sits 4th in rookie scoring and owns the highest points-per-game percentage among all rookies (1.30).
Warren Clark (D/’04) – Steinbach Pistons – 3GP | 1G | 4A | 5PTS
The St. Cloud State commit has enjoyed a strong season on the backend in Steinbach and it continued last week. Clark added a pair of assists in Steinbach’s win over Winkler before he scored a smooth goal from the point in the Pistons loss to the Terriers. He had another strong showing on Sunday night, adding two more assists in the Pistons win. Clark leads all rookie defensemen in scoring (5G -22A) and sits 5th among all defenders in the MJHL.
