Elliot Perreault (FWD/’06) – Winnipeg Freeze – 3GP | 2G | 3A | 5PTS
The leading scorer of the Winnipeg Freeze earns a star of the week honour after a strong performance last week. In a tight loss to the Nighthawks, Perreault scored in the 1st to tie up the game before adding a pair of assists in the back half. In Winnipeg’s win over Swan Valley, Perreault notched the go ahead goal before assisting on the game winner with a quick feed to the slot. Perreault leads all 17-year-olds in scoring with 18 goals and 16 assists, through 41 games.

Tomas Anderson (G/’04) – OCN Blizzard – 2GP | 2W | 0.00GAA | 1.000SV% | 2SO
It was a perfect weekend for Tomas Anderson and the Blizzard who earned a pair of shutout wins on home ice. Anderson turned aside 25 shots in a close win over Winkler before stopping another 20 the following night against the Freeze. The rookie goaltender sits tied first in shutouts (5), second in save percentage (.931), fifth in goals against average (2.17), sixth in wins (18), and ninth in minutes played (1658).

Evan Groening (FWD/’05) Virden Oil Capitals – 2GP | 3G | 2A | 5PTS
The native of Niverville, MB, put on a show against his hometown Nighthawks, scoring a pair of goals in the 1st period before adding a pair of assists in the 3rd. Groening scored the tying goal in the 3rd period against the Titans in game that the Oil Caps would drop in overtime. Since re-joining the Oil Capitals, Evan Groening has established himself as one of four players in Virden to hit the point-per-game mark with 8 goals and 11 assists in 17 games.
