Week 21, February 19 – 25, 2024  |  The Manitoba Junior Hockey League Stars of the Week are proudly presented by Original 16.

Hayden Stocks (FWD/’03) – Neepawa Titans – 3GP | 3G | 2A | 5PTS

With the playoff race coming down to the wire, Neepawa Titans veteran, Hayden Stocks stepped up in a big game for his club. Stocks assisted on the game tying goal before scoring the overtime winner to complete his hat-trick performance in a 6-5 win. His play over last week has helped Neepawa take a one point lead in the 4th and final playoff spot in the MGEU West Division.

Cole Sheffield (G/’04) – Dauphin Kings – 2GP | 2W | 0.50GAA | 0.983SV% | 1SO

2024 has been a strong year for Kings goaltender, Cole Sheffield, who picked up another pair of wins last week to improve his record to 13-3 since the start of the new year. Sheffield turned aside all 25 shots in a close 2-0 win over the Portage Terriers on the road to pick up his 4th shutout of the season. The following game against Niverville, Sheffield posted another strong outing, stopping 32/33 shots to help Dauphin earn a 5th straight win.

Kirk Mullen (FWD/’03) Steinbach Pistons – 3GP | 2G | 3A | 5PTS

Currently sitting 5th in MJHL scoring, Kirk Mullen helped the 1st place Pistons to a trio of wins over tough competition. Against their MGEU East Division rival Winkler Flyers, Mullen scored 1 goal and 1 assist before adding 1 goal and 2 assists in a road win in Waywayseecappo. The Pistons wrapped up their week with a 3-2 win over the MGEU West leading Virden Oil Capitals.
