RBC and the MJHL are pleased to announce Steinbach Pistons’ all-star goaltender Matt Radomsky as the recipient of the 2018-2019 RBC Community Award.
Radomsky was selected as the league’s top ambassador for his work speaking in local schools, assisting minor hockey teams with goalie development, assembling Christmas hampers, assisting local seniors with leaf raking and snow shoveling services. He was also a role-model and mentor to an 11-year-old goaltender in Steinbach. The city of Steinbach will receive an additional donation from RBC on behalf of Radomsky.
Radomsky, who hails from Winnipeg, was recently named to the MJHL’s first all-star team. He was also a member of Team Canada West at the World Junior A Challenge staged in Alberta.
Currently, Radomsky leads all MJHL goaltenders in shutouts with six. Overall, his record is 26-12-1 in 39 games. He’s been one of the busiest goaltenders in the league with 2,333 minutes played. He recently committed to College of The Holy Cross (NCAA Div I) Crusaders. Holy Cross is located in Worcester, Mass.
About the RBC Community Award
At the start of the season, each MJHL team selected one player who best exemplifies making a positive difference in their community – these 11 players were named as RBC Community Ambassadors for their outstanding citizenship and sportsmanship both on and off the ice and a commitment to volunteerism. Each Ambassador earned a donation to support their local community from RBC.
