Terriers’ Brakel commits to Cornell University

The Portage Terrier organization is excited to announce Chase Brakel has committed to Cornell University for 2018-19. The Terriers first round pick in the 2013 MJHL draft, and current captain, will join former Terrier teammate Cody Haiskanen with the Big Red.

“Chase has been a key piece to our success the past couple seasons. He is a consistent player who takes pride in competing in all 3 zones. He is our leader and goes about his business the right way both on and off the ice. He had a chance to play in USHL this season but felt the MJHL was his best opportunity to continue to grow as a player and get a D1 scholarship.”
