Terriers’ Moore named CJHL Gongshow Gear 2nd Star

Portage Terriers’ netminder Nathan Moore is the furthest thing from a gongshow on the ice; but he’s happy to be named a CJHL Gongshow Gear Star for December.

The Terriers rookie goaltender was unbeatable in December posting a perfect 7-0 record along with a 1.62 goals-against average, a .924 save percentage and one shutout. The 18-year-old, who hails from Regina, Sask., also earned MGEU MJHL Goaltender of the Month laurels in December.  Moore enters play this weekend tops in his league in victories with 20 and tied for sixth in overall average at 2.61.

Justin Ball of the Melfort Mustangs was named No. 1 star, while Dominik Timej (goaltender) of the Summerside Western Capitans was #3 star.
