Timmerman named to WHL Blades opening night roster

Northern Manitoba Blizzard goaltender, Taye Timmerman, was recently named to the Saskatoon Blades opening night roster in the Western Hockey League (WHL).

Timmerman, who spent the 2024-25 season with the Blizzard, played 34 games in the regular season to post a 20-13-1 record, a 2.60 goals against average and .908 save percentage.

The rookie goaltender turned it on in the playoffs, guiding the Blizzard to a Turnbull Cup Championship where he was named Co-MVP of the McMunn & Yates Turnbull Cup Playoffs. Timmerman posted a 12-3-1 record to go along with a 1.68 goals against average and .937 save percentage.
