For the first time since 2002, the Northern Manitoba Blizzard organization will represent the Manitoba Junior Hockey League at the Centennial Cup National Championship.
From May 8-18 in Calgary, Alberta, the Blizzard will play four preliminary games against four other CJHL member leagues and will look to earn a spot in the playoff round for a chance to play for a national championship.
Included in the Blizzard pool are the champions from the Ontario Junior Hockey League (Trenton Golden Hawks), Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League (Greater Sudbury Cubs), Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL), and the runner-up from the Alberta Junior Hockey League (Grande Prairie Storm).

In 2002 at the National Championship, the Blizzard finished the preliminary round with a 2-2 record to earn a spot in the national semi-final. Taking on the Chilliwack Chiefs (BCHL), the Blizzard earned a 4-3 win before falling in the championship game, 3-1 to the Halifax Exports.
All games at the 2025 Centennial Cup will be available to watch in high definition with analysis, instant replay and exclusive interviews, via purchasing a pass on HockeyCanada.ca/CentennialCup.
The National Championship game will then be broadcasted on TSN.
