DAUPHIN, MB – Quincy Supprien scored at 14:03 of triple overtime in game seven to give the Northern Manitoba Blizzard their first MJHL Championship since 2003.
The Kings came strong out of the gate in the first period, outshooting the Blizzard, 15-7 but it would be Northern Manitoba who would strike first. Alexander Andre stayed strong on the puck and beat Sheffield on a rebound to give the Blizzard a 1-0 lead at 17:38 of the period.

Dauphin continued to step on the gas in the second and came out strong once again after killing off an early penalty. Cole Sheffield made a number of key stops in the second that led to Declan Hoad tying the game at 1-1 with under five to play in the second period.

Max Collyer would get called for boarding and the Kings would head to a late powerplay but that would be all for the 2nd period as the Blizzard and Kings would head to the 3rd period of game seven tied at 1-1.
Both teams tightened up defensively in the third period which saw the Kings outshoot the Blizzard, 9-5. After neither team could find the back of the net in regulation, the Blizzard and Kings would require overtime for the second time in the championship series.
In the first overtime period the Kings were called for too many-men but they would kill off the Blizzard man-advantage.
With 3:50 to play in the first overtime, Blizzard Louis-Jacob Beauregard took an awkward fall into the end wall and would require medical assistance. After being further evaluated at the local hospital, he was released and is recovering. The ice would get a flood and both teams would come back out to play the remaining 3:50 before taking a two minute break and beginning double overtime.
Early in double overtime, Brett Ward would take a penalty that the Blizzard would kill off but again, neither the Blizzard or Kings could solve their respective goaltenders.
With 5:57 to play in triple overtime, Quincy Supprien took a loose puck off the draw and fired it in past Cole Sheffield to lift the Northern Manitoba Blizzard to game seven glory, winning the Turnbull Cup Championship for the firs time since 2003.
