Braden Birnie commits to Alaska Fairbanks

Steinbach Pistons forward, Braden Birnie has committed to play NCAA Division I hockey at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

The 6-foot-2, 185-pound forward from Weyburn, SK, joined the Pistons in early January and has fit right in since coming to the MJHL. In 24 regular season games, Birnie scored 10 goals and 21 assists. Through two playoff games he has scored one goal and one assist.

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Nanooks are an independent and play out of the Carlson Center in Fairbanks, Alaska.
