Virden Oil Capitals forward, Braeden Lewis, has committed to play USPORTS Hockey at Brock University.
Lewis kicked off his MJHL career with the Oil Capitals during the shortened pandemic season before joining the Swift Current Broncos in the Western Hockey League (WHL) where he would go on to play 127 games from 2020-21 – 2023-24.
The Virden native re-joined his hometown Oil Capitals in 2023-24, scoring 12 goals and 28 assists in 36 games while adding 1 goal and 4 assists in 12 playoff games.
The Brock University Badgers men’s hockey team plays in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) conference.
