Virden Oil Capitals forward, Grady Lane, has committed to play USPORTS hockey at the University of Manitoba.
Lane is a veteran of 107 MJHL games split between the Winkler Flyers (2019-20) and most recently, the Virden Oil Capitals (2020-21 & 2023-24). In 41 games this season in Virden, Lane scored 14 goals and 16 assists while adding 4 goals and 3 assists in 12 playoff games.
Between stints in the MJHL, Lane spent time in the Western Hockey League (WHL) between the Spokane Chiefs (2020-2023) and Victoria Royals (2023-24).
The University of Manitoba Bisons men’s hockey team plays USPORTS in the Canada West conference.
