Hayden Wheddon earns Mike Ridley Trophy

Niverville Nighthawks forward, Hayden Wheddon, has been named the recpient of the Mike Ridley Trophy as the MJHL’s top scorer during the 2025-26 season.

In 57 games this season, Wheddon led the MJHL in assists (57), finished second in goals (36), and led all players in points-per-game average (1.58).

The Stonewall, MB, native spent parts of three seasons with the Nighthawks (2022-23, 2024-26) where he played 143 games, posting 62 goals and 75 assists. Wheddon spent one full season (2023-24) in the Western Hockey League with the Brandon Wheat Kings where he played 45 games, adding 3 goals and 4 assists.

Earlier this month, Wheddon was named an MJHL First-Team All-Star and a finalist for the MJHL MVP award.
