A piece of MJHL history is in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Hayden Wheddon’s Niverville Nighthawks CCM helmet is currently featured in a display case at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. The Nighthawks made history last season (2025-26) by capturing their first MJHL Turnbull Cup and first Centennial Cup as National Junior A Champions.
Wheddon led the MJHL in scoring with 90 points in 57 games last season and scored a pair of goals in the National Championship game, including the game winner.
The native of Stonewall, MB, will suit up next season for the University of Manitoba Bisons men’s hockey team.
