The OCN Blizzard Jr “A” Hockey Club is pleased to announce the partnership and continued commitment of the Opaskwayak Cree Nation. On a meeting held with Chief and Council on July 11/2018 Andre Murphy (Club President) & Shawna Hrappstead (Office Manager) requested the assistance and partnership of the Opaskwayak Cree Nation.
The meeting which was deemed “successful and stimulating” will guarantee the continuation and commitment from OCN to support the operation of the OCN Blizzard JR “A” Hockey Club. “It’s been some time since we have seen the detail and commitment from the OCN Blizzard organization and its Board of Directors,” commented Chief Christian Sinclair.
The OCN Blizzard organization continues to commit to a successful season and looks forward to the upcoming 2018/2019 hockey season. “It’s going to be a good one!” comments Shawna Hrappstead (office manager), “the community events, upcoming fundraisers, and ideas we have for this upcoming season is sure to make for a different hockey club than that seen in years past.”
The OCN Blizzard will host an annual general assembly on Thursday August 9th, 2018-7:00pm at The Guy hall, where they openly invite everyone to come and meet the new OCN Blizzard staff and voice any questions or concerns that you may have.
