After a slow start to the season, the rookie forward from Red Lake Falls, Minnesota has recorded 8 points in his last 7 games to help Niverville to a 4th place position in the MGEU East Division standings.

The 20-year-old had a strong performance during a quiet week for the Wolverines that saw the team win a pair of games against MGEU West Division rivals. Mathison recorded a hat-trick in a 6-4 victory over the Stampeders before adding a pair of assists in a 4-1 win over the Blizzard.
