Portage Terriers’ Murray Recycle Everywhere MJHL Player of the Week

Rookie defenceman Owen Murray of the Portage Terriers has been named the Recycle Everywhere MJHL Player of the Week.

Murray, who hails from Portage, recorded four points in two championship games last week for the Terriers, who are playing Swan Valley Stamps for the Turnbull Cup.

Murray, 16, finished the regular season with 41 points (9-32) in 55 games. His outstanding season resulted in being voted the league’s top rookie, in addition to being named to the rookie all-star team.

The runners up are 20 year old forward Campbell Balk of the Swan Valley Stampeders and 20 year old goaltender Merek Pipes of the Swan Valley Stampeders.
