WINNIPEG, MB – Team MJHL 18U White outlasted Team SJHL 18U Blue in a 15-round shootout to win the game 2-1, and take the 4-2 series win over Saskatchewan at the 2025 MJHL-SJHL Showcase.
It was the second straight game where the two 18U clubs would require a shootout. Team SJHL scored in the first period and took their 1-0 lead into the second.
It was in that second period where Esteban Cinq-Mars (Norman Blizzard) would knot the game up at 1-1 in what was a super tight contest through forty minutes of play.

Following a scoreless third period and overtime frame, the two clubs would exchange blows in the shootout where finally in round 15, Max Lavoie (Winkler Flyers) would score and Taye Timmerman (Norman Blizzard) would stand tall to secure the 2-1 win.

Team MJHL caps off the showcase with four straight wins after dropping the opening two on Tuesday, to finish the event strong and take a 4-2 series win.
