Kian Calder commits to University of Manitoba

Portage Terriers captain, Kian Calder has committed to play USPORTS hockey at the University of Manitoba.

Calder spent 72 regular season games in a Terriers uniform where he scored 21 goals and 29 assists. During the 2022-23 season, Calder was named a finalist for the MJHL’s Top Defenseman award and was named the 2022-23 RBC Community Award recipient for his efforts in giving back to his local community.

His strong performance at the Centennial Cup in 2022-23 helped guide the Terriers to a spot in the national semifinal.

The University of Manitoba men’s hockey team plays USPORTS in the Canada West Universities Athletic Association.
